New Voters Project

Working to register 1,500 students to vote, and increase student voter turnout to 30% Positions needed
  1. Coalition coordinator

    Works directly with our coalitions partners like TerpsVote and SGA to coordinate combined voter registration efforts and keep track of number of people registered

  2. Visibility coordinator

    Coordinates posters, sidewalk chalking, flyers, social media, props, etc. to raise awareness of the campaign

  3. Event coordinator

    Plans large events including voter festivals and parties at the polls




Zero Hunger
Working to eliminate food insecurity on College Park campus
  1. Tabling/Donation Drive coordinator

    Schedules, recruits for, and runs tables used to raise awareness, educate, and provide service for the food insecure population on our campus

  2. Coalition coordinator

    Works directly with our coalitions partners like the Campus Pantry and disaster relief efforts to best meet their needs

  3. Visibility coordinator

    Coordinates posters, sidewalk chalking, flyers, social media, props, etc. to raise awareness of the campaign 




Save the Bay
Working to pass a statewide ban on polystyrene (Styrofoam) in order to protect the wildlife in Maryland's endangered ecosystems
  1. Visibility coordinator

    Coordinates posters, sidewalk chalking, flyers, social media, props, etc. to raise awareness of the campaign

  2. Lobbying coordinator

    Schedules, recruits constituents for, and runs meetings/conference calls with MD State Representatives to persuade them to support the bill banning polystyrene in MD

  3. Tabling coordinator

    Schedules, recruits for, and runs tables used to raise awareness and collect petitions in support of statewide ban on Styrofoam




Affordable Textbooks
Working to make textbooks affordable and eventually free for students nationwide
  1. Visibility coordinator

    Coordinates posters, sidewalk chalking, flyers, social media, props, etc. to raise awareness of the campaign

  2. Media coordinator

    Writes and recruits others to write pieces to be published in local newspapers, coordinates radio interviews, maintains relationship with Diamondback  

  3. Event coordinator

    Plans large events including rallies for and panels discussing free textbooks
